Learning for failures

December 7, 2006 Leave a comment

Current knowledge already informed us the ideas of learning by doing, learning by trying, even the comparison between learn and unlearn.

All these arguments imply the failure of something, whether that failure may attribute to natural disaster, accidents caused by others or oneself. However, it is always difficulty to learn from failure, due to the human nature and that intangible nature of that failure. In Japan, there is a database collected lots of failure expereinces (see Reference).

I believe this database provides a good raw data for others to learn from failures, and itself may also become one of valuable sources for people to analyze how those failure happened and how people may learn from them. If we put it more further, people ay stimulate people to inductive or deductive how those failures to outline the formulare for failure? :]
